Field Safety Specialist - Michigan

They are seeking a Field Safety Specialist based in Michigan.
The goal of this role is to provide field employees with technical and compliance expertise to ensure good safety habits and skills to create a safe work environment.
You will work with a small team of fellow safety team members to achieve this goal.
This role will be based in a major metro area in Michigan with travel between job sites.
Responsibilities Include: Motivate behavioral shifts and foster a proactive approach to safety within your region Collaborate with business unit leaders to promote safe practices and cultivate a strong safety culture Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations by studying current and forthcoming legislation, interpreting standards, and advising management on necessary actions Uphold safety protocols by conducting inspections, reporting statistics, and providing guidance to managers and employees Facilitate required trainings for large and small groups of managers and employees Assist with creating safety materials (safety instructional videos, safety brochures, etc.
