*Parts Associate Description*
Seeking a very detail-oriented Parts Associate who is willing to work hard, learn and grow with the company.
Candidates will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that will support a successful and smooth parts department for customers including our service department.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, managing/stocking inventory, ensuring parts and supplies needed for production are available, building relationships with outside vendors, creating and maintaining orders, managing and maintaining warranty claims, and record keeping/data entry.
The ideal candidate will be eager to dive into the day-to-day activities of an active parts and service department in the marine industry.
To be successful as a parts associate you must be highly organized.
A good parts associate anticipates the needs of production workers and ensures that all materials needed for production are provided

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Ability to follow instructions.
* Receive, store, order, return and maintain parts, equipment, tools and expendable items used in a repair and retail shop.
* Take inventory of parts and maintain inventory records.
* Process and monitor vendor and warranty returns.
* Monitor inventory levels.
* Order parts in advance.
* Manage parcel shipments on a daily basis.
* Maintain neat and clean parts room at all times and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce downtime and provide optimal level of customer services.
* Monitor and correct invoices if required and prepare all papers for delivery and issue all parts and tools for technicians.
* List and maintain ebay parts sales.
* Administer and maintain parts inventory for assign locations.
* Perform physical count of inventory.
* Locate parts on exploded views.
* Greet all customers and vendors on telephone pleasantly
* Maintain a positive attitude and be a productive member of our team.
*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:
* Technical Skills: Ability to operate office based products such as computer, word, excel speed sheets, scanner, fax machine, copier, telephone, printer, internet, email, etc…
* Communication: Able to interact professionally with colleagues.
Able to clearly and effectively communicate information both orally and in writing.
* Modesty: Have the ability to honestly and openly communicate any mistakes or mishaps made, and have the ability to learn from them in a positive way.

Position advancement is a strong possibility in addition to commission capability.

*Requirement*
* A high school qualification or equivalent.
* Prior experience in a relevant field such as manufacturing or the automotive industry.
* Attention to detail.
* Knowledge of inventory monitoring practices.
* Excellent communication and sales skills.
