The Role
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Civil Technician to join our team.
Civil Technicians help support civil engineering projects by assisting with the design, construction inspection, and maintenance.
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals.
This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.
The anticipated start date for this position is December 4th 2023.
Openings are available anywhere in the continental US.
You will spend your first week in Youngstown, Ohio and will be traveling 85% of the time.
Responsibilities
Setting forms that hold concrete in place
Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues
Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a trowel and float.
Ability to safely maneuver equipment trailers
Restoration of areas where work has been performed (leveling, seed and straw)
Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Skills
Must be willing to travel nationwide up to 85% of the time.
Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
3 years’ experience as a concrete finisher
Ability to safely operate equipment (Mine excavators, Telehandlers, Skid Steers)
Possess basic computer skills including word, excel & email
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members
Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
Able to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; including occasional late evenings and/or weekends when requested
Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
Endurance of regular exposure to all weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and rain during all seasons throughout the year
Ability to be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
Utilize protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high visible vest when working on-site
