Responsibilities:
Conduct testing including, but not limited to, structure-to-soil potential, soil resistance and current requirement
Conduct rectifier maintenance inspections including necessary troubleshooting, adjustments, and repairs
Correctly and safely operate test equipment including pipe and/or cable locaters, high input impedance digital multi-meters, clamp-on ammeters, electrical isolation inspection meters, and various hand and power tools
Maintain assigned truck, tools, and equipment
Prepare and deliver written and electronic administrative reports
Deliver weekly verbal reports at technical staff meetings regarding project status
Coordinate administrative and technical meetings and tasks between the company and the client
Recognize and report business development opportunities to the sales and marketing team and represent the company in client interactions
This position includes regular travel as the business requires, sometimes for long periods of time (two-week intervals)
Minimum Qualifications:
AMPP (NACE) CP1 with 2 years field related pipeline corrosion experience
Must be able to read and comprehend maps and GPS systems
Knowledgeable in field data acquisition / troubleshooting
Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Detail oriented with strong organization and planning skills
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for insurability
Must be able to travel regularly up to two weeks at a time
Must be able to work outdoors and be able to walk for long distances on uneven terrain
Preferred Qualifications:
CIP1 certification
Experience using American Innovations technology products (Allegro, PCS, Bullhorn)
