Responsible for all aspects of assembly operations and inspection; including set-up and sign off of finished products.

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Achieves production, quality and safety standards to maximize output.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands
This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment.
Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant.
This is a physically demanding position; maintaining the physical strength to lift materials up to 50 pounds, endure prolonged standing, dexterity, and stamina is necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
This position is assigned to either a day or evening shift.
Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma.
Equivalent work experience and demonstrated competency may substitute for a degree.
Good planning, organization and follow up skills required.
Must have the demonstrated ability to safely operate all material handling equipment, including fork trucks, overhead cranes, jib cranes, battery magnets, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
Preferred Education and Experience
Two-year degree in CNC Operations or equivalent CAD program
Additional technical training in machining centers, mills, lathes, etc.
