Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will have complete involvement in routine and emergency corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
A Maintenance Technician can also become a key player in plant layout, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
Duties to include (not limited to):
Repairs or replaces-in-kind existing production and material handling equipment.
Assists Maintenance Manager in maintaining an inventory of critical and other repair parts to ensure uninterrupted productivity.
Determine the most cost-effective repair or upgrade, disassemble equipment, repair defective components, reassemble and start-up equipment.
Documents maintenance repairs and equipment histories.
Installs and modifies machinery and equipment, including one-off assignments, as required by production, engineering, and other personnel.
Services and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Performs PM’s.
Assembles and maintains: Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production mechanical systems, as necessary.
Qualifications:
A WSC Maintenance Technician will possess and demonstrate:
The ability to diagnose and repair or replace any kind of machine issue within the scope of the building.
A comprehensive understanding of how these technologies and skills are linked together to create a totally productive manufacturing system.
Oral and written communication skills.
Personal computer operation.
Established safety policies, standards, practices, and procedures.
Education / Position Requirements:
Associate of Arts degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
—OR—
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance
Travel as maintenance necessitated to various locations.
Physical Requirements – ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Demonstrated experience with any or all of the following is a strong plus:
AC / DC Drives
Chain / Belt Conveyors
Motor repair / installation
Hydraulics
Instrumentation
Machining ability (Bridgeport/Lathe)
Literacy in blueprints and schematics
Pneumatics
Welding
