Quality Inspector/EDM Operator Duties

*About us* CPM Century Extrusion in Traverse City MI, has decades of experience in the development of highly engineered twin screw extrusion systems covering different levels of extruders, from entry level to high level specifications for various customer requirements, as well as high performance process section components.

*Position Summary:* * The primary responsibilities of this Lathe/Saw position are to feed our segment production line.
* Rough & finish mill twin screw extruder conveying segments.
* Finish mill twin screw extruder kneading segments.
* This position may be trained and moved to other work centers according to customer and company needs.
*Essential Functions:* * Setup and run CNC lathe along with automated saw.
* Setup and run multiple Mazak & Doosan Vertical Mills.
* Examine materials to ensure conformance to established standards & accuracy * Perform minor equipment maintenance * Comply with standards and procedures * Complete required paperwork as necessary * Perform other job responsibilities as required * Operating multiple machines simultaneously *Knowledge / Skills / Experience:* * HS education and 1-2 years of related experience preferable (not mandatory) * Understanding of precision manufacturing tools and their proper use * Good mechanical aptitude * Knowledge of GD&T symbols and tolerancing along with basic blueprint reading * Ability and willingness to follow directions and work independently as well as with team * Good verbal communication skills * Positive attitude and the ability to work in a highly motivated, team driven environment.
