Gosling Czubak delivers innovative design solutions to municipalities and private clients throughout Michigan, and has an immediate opening for a Driller Assistant.
The emphasis of this position will be to assist a lead driller with geotechnical and environmental field operations.
*Responsibilities Will Include*
* Soil and groundwater sampling at project sites using hollow stem auger and rotary drilling methods.
* Groundwater monitoring well installation
* Use of hand auger and concrete coring equipment.
* Assisting with mobilization and demobilization for project sites, such as gathering necessary equipment and/or supplies.
* Assisting with maintaining all equipment and vehicles.
* Assisting with maintaining and organizing the shop area.
* Prepare field notes and soil boring logs.
* Encourage and follow safe work practices at all times for yourself, the lead Driller and others.
*Job Requirements and Qualifications*
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Limited or no experience required.
* Willingness to work outdoors, all year long.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and extended shifts.
* Ability to lift 75 lbs.
* Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
* Must pass annual work physicals and drug tests
* Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
