*Shipping and Receiving Essential Functions:*
· Pack orders according to customer requirements.
· Make shipping labels.
· Load and unload trucks.
· Operate hi-lo.
· Construct boxes.
· Retrieve stock.
· Stock incoming parts/material.
· Perform weight counts, as necessary, and adjust inventory.
· Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area.
· Perform other duties related to shipping and receiving as required by supervisor.
*Job Requirements*
· Proficient with computers including use of the following software: Excel, Outlook, Eagle, and QAD
· Perform receiving functions and verify deliveries.
· Generate pick list, pack orders according to customer requirements including banding, weighing, and wrapping shipments.
Ensure all other information on product label is accurate.
· Stage finished orders for loading.
· Construct the pallet load to customer requirements and store as needed following FIFO principle.
· Print shipping labels for production floor as requested.
· Load and unload trucks.
· Operate Hi-Lo truck and / or pallet jack
· Construct boxes
· Complete visual inspection before packaging product for the customer.
· Put incoming material in proper locations applying FIFO principles.
· Perform cycle counts of finished goods and packaged items per ABC status.
· Compact discarded packing/shipping material (boxes, etc).
· Conduct inventory of boxes and reels.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
· Ability to use independent judgment in packing, stacking, and arranging shipments, and prioritize jobs.
· Utilize Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids which may be representative but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this type of work: Personal Computer, Hi-Lo truck, Scale, Bander, Wrapping Machine, Staple Guns, Box Maker, UPS Machine, and Compactor.
· Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Knowledge of arithmetic is required
· Basic skills in oral and written communication
· Comply with all Environment, Health, and Safety {EH&S}rules and procedures.
· Ability to pass OSHA Hi-Lo test; possession of Hi-Lo license required.
*Shipping and Receiving Evaluations:*
· Shipping and Receiving trainee evaluation will be made on a weekly basis.
· Training will follow the training plan.
· There is a 60 day qualification period.
*Working Conditions:*
*Degree of Physical Demands (Strength) usually associated with this classification:*
· Lifting packages up to 70 pounds.
· Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and occasional crouching.
*Environmental conditions (Physical Surroundings) usually associated with this classification:*
· The associate is subject to environmental conditions common to a plant environment, including cramped conditions between presses and enclosures.
· Some exposure to loud noise and oil.
*Environmental conditions (Hazards) usually associated with this classified:*
· Exposure to Hi-Lo traffic, battery charger, possible cuts from material tail and banding, occasional exposure to wet or slippery dock plates.
