Essential Functions of the Job: Responsible for the R&D team performance, job duties, work habits and efforts.
Collect and provide all required test data.
Leading R & D team in defining project strategies, developing goals, and ensure that projects stay on target.
Continual communication with all levels of management ensuring project deadlines are met.
Anticipates potential issues and works for proactive resolution and solutions.
Building and testing new equipment prototypes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Knowledge of engineering prints and design layouts.
Knowledge in steel manufacturing (fabrication and welding) equipment and processes preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical skills.
Organized and reliable.
Ability to analyze information and processes, identify problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
Skilled and proficient with the use of personal computers; including standard office software (i.
e.
, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.
Effective planning and project management skills.
The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities.
Able to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through planning, execution, and evaluation of business processes.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills required.
Ability to work irregular and extended hours and travel as workload dictates.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is required.
In lieu of degree, seven years of relavent experience.
5-7 years of previous work experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
