Summary
The Waterfront Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the rental program and fuel dock, as well as the care and management of our customers and staff
Essential duties and responsibilities
Business growth and development through partnership relationships, customer attraction and retention
Responsible for the P&L for their assigned rental location, with the goal of hitting or beating set budget
Control labor and expenses
Hiring, training, and staff growth
Safety training and priority for both staff and customers
Ability to demonstrate the proper use of all rental equipment and boats
Effectively communicate with the local service department, ensure boats are maintained and repaired efficiently
Work closely with and brainstorm new growth and development opportunities, and new ways to grow sales with the Lake Charlevoix Waterfront Manager; share resources where necessary
Price checking and ordering fuel, upholding all laws and regulations relating to the fuel tank
Maintain an accurate and organized slip waitlist
Attend local events, promoting rentals and the waterfront as a whole
Ensure fleet is clean, and in the condition customers expect
Responsible for ensuring all marina areas are tidy and appealing to customers
Communicate and collect payment on rental boat and gear damage/loss
Set high expectations for customer service and operational performance and achieve them
Interface with customers, vendors, and other business units
Follow all department SOP’s
Uphold all laws, standards and regulations that apply to the businesses
Maintain a safe work environment through training, audits, and continuous improvements
Develop a business that customers want to visit
Any other task as requested by supervisor

Trailering: Ability to safely and effectively trailer boats.
Ability to properly launch boats at various different lakes and marinas
Travel: Ability to travel to other local lakes and marinas, as well as other rental locations as needed
Swimming: Ability to swim and tread water required
Have Fun: Recognize the excitement of the job and come to work excited to learn, teach, and make connections with customers and partners
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: staff management and customer service experience required
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office experience required.
Drug Test: pass a thorough drug test required
Boater’s License: obtain a valid boater’s license required
Driver’s License: obtain a valid drivers license required.
Pass a thorough MVR and obtain MVR acceptance by Tommy’s insurance company
Background Test: pass a thorough background test required
Characteristics: Posses humility, willingness to serve, and the ability to teach.
