*Summary*: The Occupational Health and Safety Manager is tasked with developing and implementing the site’s overall strategy with respect to Safety, Health and Security.
A key component of this role is to develop and implement processes that help create a culture focused on zero injuries.
This person will also help with developing training & lend expertise to all Safety and Health related issues within the operations.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: • Managing and eliminating Safety and Health operational risks and hazards to ensure an accident and hazard free cost competitive operation.
• Coordinate and oversee the site security policies, procedures, and daily activities.
• Design and lead projects that offer innovative solutions that move the site closer to its vision of zero injuries.
• Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities to ensure at-risk-behaviors and at-risk-conditions are addressed.
Monitor and track all corrective action measures to ensure they are effective and completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Support Safety and Health Rewards and Recognition Program • Develop the annual site Safety and Health budget to control fixed and variable cost expenditures.
• Drive the Continuous Improvement efforts.
• Provide support for the development and implementation of all Safety and Health programs and policies to ensure the facility’s adherence to all applicable, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
• Provide operational safety and environmental performance feedback on a regular basis.
Support the EH&S Pillars, associated sub-committees.
• Facilitate best practice sharing across the facility and actively seek out best-in class-practices within industry.

*_ *Knowledge and Skill Requirements*: • Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or other related disciplines preferred • 3 - 5 years of work experience in workplace Safety, Health and Security program management.
Professional certification in Safety preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate results of "buy-in" and employee ownership of safety, Health and security programs.
• Candidates must have an entrepreneurial program-building mindset • Proficient in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
(MS Office/MS Outlook/Web based systems.
) Working knowledge of the beverage or food manufacturing industry preferred, with a knowledge of EH&S regulations and factors related to food manufacturing facilities.
• Skilled in performing internal on-site safety inspections for self-audit purposes.
• Ability to plan programs and initiatives at regional, multi-location level • Strengths in People Management including communication, leadership, effective presentation skills, coaching, crisis management, motivation, team building, organization, self-starter, time management, stress management.
