About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team who work in our restaurant operations.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
The Kitchen Manager will work closely with other culinary teams, front-of-house staff, and resort management to uphold our reputation as a premier dining destination.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including staff scheduling, food preparation, and inventory management.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for food service, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the Restaurant Operations Manager and other culinary teams at our resort to create innovative menus that align with Treetops Resort's dining philosophy and guest expectations.
Manage budgeting and cost control measures, including ordering supplies, negotiating with vendors, and minimizing waste.
Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with the FOH management to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
Address and resolve any issues related to food quality, staff performance, or guest satisfaction in a timely and professional manner.
Tracking industry trends and culinary techniques to enhance the dining experience and operational efficiency.
Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing a diverse culinary team.
In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management.
