The Charlevoix Yacht Club is seeking an Events Director for their beautiful venue on Lake Charlevoix in Northern Michigan.
We are looking for a dynamic person who embodies professionalism to market and manage our event spaces.
The Events Director plays a pivotal role in booking, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of special events including weddings, holiday parties, anniversary parties, corporate meetings, non-profit events, family reunions, class reunions, birthday parties and more.
The position offers a base pay along with generous commissions for paid bookings.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
· Refined verbal and written communications skills
· Detail Oriented, Organized and Achievement Oriented
· Ability to negotiate and sell prospective clients
· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
· Must be able to effectively coordinate with multiple vendors
· Must be able to manage event budgets
· Must be proficient with computers and social media savvy
· Previous experience and/or Degree in Hospitality, Meeting and Event Planning helpful
· Flexible to work some nights and weekends when necessary

Pay: From $18.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
