We are looking for an experienced and passionate Quality Manager to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to brewing only the best.
Responsibilities: As a Quality Manager at Short's Brewing Co.
, you will: * Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Lead and manage a team of Quality Technicians, ensuring proper training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
* Monitor the entire brewing process, from raw material sourcing to packaging and distribution, to identify areas for quality improvement.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, packaging, and logistics, to address quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control testing, audits, and corrective actions.
* Stay current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in craft brewing to continuously improve our quality management system.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a brewery setting.
* In-depth knowledge of brewing processes, quality control techniques, and industry regulations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
* Cicerone or BJCP certification is a plus.
