_*This job posting is a part of the Food & Beverage Operations that take place at Bucks Run Golf Club and The Quarry Grill Restaurant.
*_ *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Responsible for the banquet and catering operations offered by our facility, as well as related guest services through effective direction, leadership, and supervision.
Continually maintain and exceed all standards of service, guest satisfaction, and staff development.
Develop an environment within these areas, which encourages team members to be happy, motivated, and proud of the products and services that are provided by them, resulting in a joyful and memorable experience for every guest.
Develop a loyal following among guests; thus, increasing business and furthering the golf club's reputation of providing a great guest experience.
*WAGES:* Please note that wages will be discussed during the interview process.
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Participate in the process of finding, interviewing, hiring, training and furthering the abilities of all banquet staff.
* Monitor and motivate all banquet team members to ensure that they have every opportunity to achieve job satisfaction.
* Participate in the process of disciplining, re-training and terminating of banquet staff if they are not meeting the standards we expect.
* Participate in periodic performance reviews of all banquet team members.
* Participate in the regular updating of related training manuals.
* Produce a weekly schedule for the banquet team members, according to business levels and labor budgets.
* Participate in regular meetings & training with departmental staff.
* Attend weekly banquet/catering meetings.
* Participate with Food and Beverage Manager to develop, monitor, and maintain beverage control (serve safe) procedures.
* Liaise with the Food and Beverage Manager and Kitchen Supervisor to ensure appropriate inventories are stocked, including food and beverage and non-food and beverage items used in the banquet operation.
* Ensure the smooth operation of all banquet and catered events.
* Become familiar with the computer systems and technology currently in use at our facility.
* Maximize the banquet department’s revenues via cost savings, quality control, and labor control.
* Assist Sales/Event Manager in the coordination of their sales efforts, as they relate to banquets and catering.
* Ensure all team members that have direct reporting to you understand and follow all standards, policies and procedures.
* Supervising the floor during banquet events to ensure that all of Buck Run's service standards are met.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire banquet room, VIP room, and storage areas.
* Any other duties that may be assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* * Minimum 1-year of experience, preferred.
* Proven ability in supervising, preferably in a banquet capacity.
* Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated, and service driven.
* Detail-oriented, yet able to excel while multi-tasking.
* Able to lead by example.
* Cash handling and computer skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
