) FLSA: Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Continuing Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-Time Union Group: N/A Term of Position: 12 Month At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause Summary of Position: Provide quality information technology services to plan, organize, develop, staff, and supervise all aspects of systems development and programming activities in accordance with University goals and objectives.
Develop and recommend policies, procedures, and technical standards.
Develop and provide guidance on University, department, and unit policies, procedures, and processes.
Position Type: Staff Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Required Work Experience: Four years of full-time work experience in information processing and project management, including two years of application programming.
Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Demands: Office Environment Bending Carrying Moving Reaching Sitting Standing Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: A master's degree, preferably in business, but all advanced degrees will be reviewed.
Enterprise applications experience in a university setting.
Knowledge of university ERP software, Oracle database tools, Microsoft Office applications, relational databases, and distributed computing tools.
Experience working with Ellucian Banner, Banner programming, and or business analysis.
Experince with cloud solutions, SaaS, and advanced enterprise solutions.
Report writing using SQL.
Experience with APIs and/or iPaaS solutions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Oversee and direct software applications implementation, which includes, but is not limited to, designing implementation and upgrade schedules, allocating and scheduling staff, overseeing project budgets, and ensuring work does not disrupt day-to-day business activities.
Supervise staff responsible for applications systems support, which includes, but is not limited to, setting priorities and coordinating and reporting team activities.
Provide senior technical leadership.
Ensure compliance with standards and procedures for applications development and system documentation in a distributed computing environment.
Monitor client services and oversee project progress.
Maintain a close working relationship with the management and personnel of user departments.
Recommend and implement innovations in the use of new hardware/software developments.
Partner with other technical staff in joint application development.
Reports directly to the CIO or their designee.
Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information.
Supervises assigned support staff and students.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with University policies and applicable laws.
Assist IT team coordinators with outages, problem resolution, communication, and documentation.
Manage team budget and participate in departmental budgetary planning.
Provide technical expertise in the software governance process and participate in technical reviews of proposed software solutions.
Manage vendor contracts.
Ensure business unit needs are met by conducting ticket and request reviews to set priorities.
Serve as a backup role for various application duties when necessary.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Process time off requests from team members.
Complete employee performance evaluations.
Represent the University and department at committee meetings and conferences as assigned.

Provide documentation for processes, procedures, projects, and tasks.
Develop and deliver training and information sessions to assist students, faculty, and staff to utilize information technology effectively.

Understand the principles of project management.
Identify and implement leading-edge technology to enhance University processes and services.
