We are a family of three friendly adults and one very well-behaved and cute toddler looking for another person(s) to share our beautiful and fun-filled home!
Sunward Community:
We are offering 1-2 private rooms for rent in a recently upgraded three-level condo in the beautiful Sunward Cohousing Community on the West side of Ann Arbor.
Sunward has an abundance of resources and amenities including a 20-acre campus with woods, prairies, and ponds.
There are gardens plots available to anyone in the community, fire-rings over looking the pond, and lots of shared patios as well as a sports field and outdoor playground.
The "common house" is an additional space available to all residents includes a gas fire-place reading room, office spaces, fitness center, game room, indoor children’s play room, guest rooms for visiting friends/family, additional laundry facility, and large industrial kitchen and dining hall where the larger community shares meals several time a week for those interested in joining.
Our home:
In our home have three different unfurnished rooms which we could offer in different arrangements, ranging from $800/month-$1,200 depending on which ones fit your needs.
The price includes all utilities and internet.
-- The first $800 option is a bedroom with a window for natural light coming in from the front garden.
-- Another $800 option is a different basement room, larger, with a double-wide closet but no window.
(We would do $1,200 for both basement rooms together if you desired more space.
)
-- Finally there is a gorgeous second story bedroom (currently used as a yoga studio) with a wall of windows into the courtyard treetops and bathroom right down the hall which we are offering for $1,200.
The rest of the house, which is shared by everyone, is completely furnished.
There are plenty of common areas including recently remodeled kitchen, vaulted-ceiling living room, basement movie studio/lounge/game table, two full bathrooms, sunny yoga studio (if it isn't rented), and plenty of storage.
There's a private back patio and front porch facing the front garden and community piazza.

- We have one sweet cat already and are very open to another
- We are open to folks of any age or life stage, for instance -- students, young professionals, small families (another kiddo for ours to play with would be wonderful), professional adults perhaps going through a life-transition, or elders looking for multigenerational living.
