I am a quadriplegic receiving care at my home located in downtown Petoskey.
My place is about a mile from North Central Michigan College and a short walk to Main Street.
The state provides all payments through my agency, and caregivers must pass a background check before they are cleared to work.
I need a regular caregiver for three days a week, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 8 AM to 8 PM, and three nights a week Saturday, Tuscany, and Wednesday nights 8 or 9pm to 7am.
Ultimately, I would like a live-in to work those 3 days and be here as a backup for when one of my other caregivers can't work.
Pay is $16/hour + $2.
35 an hour for COVID-19 pay, but I'm not sure when that will end, again paid by the state.
Duties are pretty standard and include feeding, rotating me in my bed periodically, moving me from my bed to my electric chair once or twice a day, cleaning a foley bag and colonoscopy bag, and taking care of basic household chores as needed.
