*Summary of Duties* Assume responsibility for the origination, pre-underwriting and closing of mortgage and consumer loans.
Servicing of existing loans in assigned portfolio.
This position requires a high level of organizational skill and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and bank staff, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to identify priorities and deadlines and determine work schedule to meet those deadlines.
Must possess PC skills at an intermediate level.
Ability to learn compliance and legal issues as they apply to mortgage loans.
Ability to make decisions within set parameters.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Included but are not limited to: * Originate mortgage and consumer loan applications via face-to-face borrower contact or the internet.
* Approve or deny consumer applications routed through the SuperBanker workflow.
* Close loan with borrower(s).
* Service existing customers on phone and/or in person as needed.
* Conduct collection activity on delinquent loan accounts – including phone calls, written correspondence, face-to-face contact with borrower(s) and property inspections.
* Call on realtors and other referral sources * Attend banking and community related functions.
*Other Functions * * Familiar with and abides by all bank regulations including but not limited to BSA and OFAC.
* Adhere and comply with all Bank Policies.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Job Qualifications & Requirements* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*Education/Certification/Licensing:* * High School Diploma/GED required.
* Advanced education in accounting, business or related field preferred.
* NMLS (within 2 months of start date) * Notary Public (within 2 months of start date) *Experience:* * Minimum requirement of *3 years* banking/lending or related experience required.
*Other Requirements:* * Ability to multitask.
* A high level of organizational skills * Strong communication skills * Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image.
*Equipment Used* * PC, laser printer, calculator, copy machine, fax, scanner, mobile devices such as iPad and iPhone or similar.
*Software Used * * Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Laser Pro, Mortgagebot, Adobe Reader, Foxit, Horizon XE, FIS Image Centre, BAI Learning & Development and various other financial institution platform systems.
*Physical Demands* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work in front of a computer for extended periods of hours; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Must be able to travel from location to location throughout the office and to other bank offices, clients, and outside meetings.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
