Infection Prevention Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for developing others.
Our Staff Development / Infection Prevention Coordinator will plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the education programs for facility staff and implementation a system wide infection control & prevention program that will successfully identify and prevent or reduce causes and/or sources of infection in compliance with Infection Prevention & Control protocols.
*How will you spend your time?* * Staff Development: * Develop & conduct orientation for all personnel.
* Identify, develop & conduct education/inservice programs in response to staff needs according to current accepted patient care and center practices according to identified priorities.
* Supervise, mentor & monitor new team members throughout their orientation period.
* Perform new hire & annual competency testing and evaluations on clinical staff.
* Maintain education records and ensure compliance with standards.
Ensure CNA’s meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement.
* Actively participate in quality assurance * Infection Prevention: * Oversee Employee Health Program * Manage and Maintain our Infection Control Program * Oversee Covid Testing & Reporting * Assist with the collection, analysis and reporting of infection prevention data.

* 3+ Years of experience in a long term care environment.
