*School Based Social Worker / Mental Health Professional* \*\*\*\**PLEASE READ APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE APPLYING\*\*\** The Health Department of Northwest Michigan has a school based position available to provide group and individual services to area youth in the Boyne City School system.
This is a *PART time position (*full time will be considered*) *during the school year, with *minimal days worked during the summer.
* Applicants with experience using electronic medical records and mental health billing are preferred.
*REQUIREMENTS - *Current license to practice as a LMSW, LLMSW, LPC , or LLPC is required.

org) *What you'll do* Serve as a Master's level professional clinician performing a range of direct and indirect mental health outpatient services.
Conduct therapy and recommend referrals to various programs and community services where needed.
Responsible for extensive case documentation.
Responsible for carrying out all activities of the Child & Adolescent Health Center Program - Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health (E3) program in such a manner that fulfills HDNW mission, policies and procedures.
Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health (E3) is defined as program located in a school that provides on-site comprehensive mental health services from mild to moderate severity of need.
It includes referrals, tracking and follow-up, throughout the year with agreements in place with the host school and/or local school district.
Summer duties include therapy or referrals and offers time for training, completing grant reporting requirements, preparing for the new school year and community outreach activities.
*What we offer* Weekly supervision is provided for limited licensed staff, monthly supervision is provided for all new staff, in addition to monthly reflective supervision and case conferencing for all staff.
We create a network of support internally for our school based staff to case conference and/or ask questions of peers or leadership staff.
*Who you are* We are seeking candidates who can work independently and demonstrate core values of service, social justice, dignity, and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence.
*Requirements* At time of hire, Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling and possession of an appropriate State of Michigan licensure - LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC.
The candidate must have the ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally and be able to work well with others.
Candidate may be expected to work minimal evening hours to attend parent teacher conferences or after school events.
*Preferred* At least 6 months of experience (professional or paraprofessional) providing individual and/or group therapy or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons individually or group therapy preferred.
Candidates with experience using electronic medical records are preferred.
*Salary* Pay is commensurate with years of experience.
Opportunities for additional advancement exists once fully licensed with 2 years of experience at HDNW.
*PART TIME, YEAR AROUND BENEFITS INCLUDE:* * Medical: Blue Cross/Blue Shield is offered, with the choice of a Traditional PPO plan, or a High Deductible Health Plan for the employee and family.
The Health Department makes a contribution to help offset the High Deductible.
Payroll contributions vary depending on plan and level of coverage selected.
Employees who opt out of medical coverage will receive a $92.
31 in their paycheck per pay period.
* Professional Liability in the name of Health Department of Northwest Michigan; Workers Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance.
Health Department of Northwest Michigan pays 100% of the cost.
* Section 125 - Pre-taxable health insurance premiums, Flexible Spending Accounts / Dependent Care Accounts, and optional insurance packages available at 100% employee cost.
* Wellness Programs that employees are encouraged to participate in.
Participation includes a decreased employee share deduction for health insurance for full time staff, or increased monthly deposit to retirement account for full time staff who do not have Health Department insurance.
Other incentives may apply as well.
