Our open position is actually a *hybrid* of sorts.
You will have the opportunity to work at our front desk as a *CSR (Customer Service Representative)*, greeting clients and their furry family members, scheduling appointments, working with our scheduling technology platforms to creatively best leverage our schedule so that we can help as many pets as possible.
As a *Veterinary Technician Assistant *you will also get the opportunity to help the medical staff treat patients with care and comfort while they are examined and cared for.
You also get to lead the charge in keeping our wonderful facility clean and organized.
Again, having experience in either of the fields is not a prerequisite of joining our team- we will train you with all of the skills needed to be successful.
The requirement for working with us is that you love to learn, you can follow protocols and you appreciate a values based, family ran, small business.
*CSR Objectives*: * The purpose of this position is to perform record keeping duties, to perform clerical duties related to patient care, treatment and appointment scheduling, and to provide miscellaneous support to the Practice Manager and health care team, as needed.
* Caring for clients is a function of this position as well.
These service functions include, but are not limited to: reception (visitor and telephone), maintenance of veterinary medical records, accounts maintenance, cash processing, data entry, word processing and communications using practice selected platforms.
* This position requires a practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, the basic rules and regulations governing visitors and animal patient treatment, data transcribing, word processing, and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the hospital.
*Tech Assistant Objectives:* * The purpose of this position is to assist the veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatment, maintains cleanliness and sanitization throughout the clinic, monitors hospitalized pets, maintains clean and stocked exam rooms, and potentially performs routine in-house laboratory work at Compassionate Veterinary Care.
* The Technician Assistant uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions, but refers deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to the practice manager or mentor trainer for decision or help.
* Handling, restraining and assisting in the treatment of patients is a major role that allows for quality care to be administered and completed.
* The practice manager or mentor trainer assures that finished work and methods used are technically accurate and in compliance with instructions or established procedures.
Review of the work increases with more difficult assignments, if the technician assistant has not previously performed similar assignments.
