SUMMARY
The Practice Administrator is responsible for leading and directing the performance of assigned medical practices.
Builds a team of practice managers and staff to ensure efficient and effective operations while providing optimal patient access to high-quality care.
Implements and maintains leading practice operations and customer service standards, responsible finance management and controls, and exceptional employee engagement and development.
As a member of the management team is involved in formulating, implementing and evaluating business strategies to continuously improve practice operations and advance services.
Responsible for achieving both short and long term strategic, business and financial goals/objectives.
Leads the medical practices by developing a data driven, team-oriented culture that embraces the patient experience, safety and quality as well as continuous process improvement.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related field.
Master’s degree in health administration or business administration preferred.
A minimum 5 years’ experience including office practice management, financial analysis, revenue cycle operations, forecasting, and budgeting is required.
MGMA Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or other medical practice leadership certification preferred.
Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information, instructions, and guidelines in a clear, concise, and specific manner, and to influence and persuade all levels of staff.
Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills including human resource management, staff deployment, resource utilization, budgeting and financial management, quality improvement, and program planning and implementation.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
Knowledge of relevant healthcare and medical practice operations including information technology, billing systems, and patient care workflows and processes.
