We have a beautiful OUTDOOR pool facility at Traverse City Country Club and we are seeking a full time aquatics coordinator for the upcoming 2024 season.
The aquatics complex includes a recreational pool for shallow water and lap swimming, a hot tub and a wading pool.
Job Summary
The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the operations and programming of TC County Club pool.
* Responsible for directly overseeing a lifeguard team.
This includes hiring, training, developing, scheduling and evaluating.
* Responsible for assisting in day to day operational tasks at the TC Country Club pool
* Assists aquatic director in development and implementation of aquatic programming, including swim lessons, swim team and other events.
* Assists in the maintenance and adherence of risk management procedures and policies in aquatic facilities, and ensuring compliance with TC Country Club policies.
* Document and report incidents and injuries in appropriate manner.
* Document, track, and report pool usage, swimming lesson attendance and other usage as necessary.
* Make recommendations for departmental assets or expenses.
* Frequently oversee and assist with events or operations during evening, nights or weekend hours.
* Remain up to date on industry standards and performance benchmarks and ensure that aquatics operations and programming remain effective and current.
* Perform all other tasks assigned by the aquatics director.
* Works effectively as a team member.
Minimum Qualifications
* 1-2 years’ experience working in an aquatic setting as a lifeguard and/or swim instructor
* Previous management experience preferred.
* Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications-Training provided
* Current Lifeguard Certification-Training provided
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Sheets
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills, problem solving ability, and attention to detail

Training will start May 17, 2024 and the pool season will run to September 9, 2024.
