*Teacher - Secondary English Language Arts* _*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:*_ * Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid Michigan Teacher Certificate * Highly Qualified to teach English Language Arts courses with a BX endorsement * Highly Qualified to teach Communication Arts courses with an AX endorsement * Design interventions and write lesson plans detailing methods and materials * Be knowledgeable in assessment and data collection, reporting and analysis techniques * Identify students’ reading and writing strengths and weaknesses and match to appropriate interventions * Assist in the evaluation of ongoing programs * Consult frequently with core content teachers on matters relating to reading and writing instruction * Manage curriculum for social/emotional learning in WIN classes * Work with building/district teams in their ongoing development and promotion of social/ emotional interventions and services through multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) * Other duties as assigned _*SALARY:*_ The salary and benefits will be in accordance with the terms of the Master Agreement with the Beaverton Education Association.
Actual salary will depend on degree and initial placement on the salary schedule.
