JOB TITLE: Driver LOCATION: Petoskey, MI REPORTS TO: Psychosocial Clubhouse Director STATUS: Non-Union, Part-time, On-call HYBRID ELIGIBLE: Yes STARTING WAGE RANGE: $15.
23 - $15.
99 per hour QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Experience in driving a passenger vehicle preferred.
Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
Must have a valid Michigan issued chauffeur’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Other: Experiences with behavioral health issues are valued.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The driver primarily transports individuals between community employment and the activity site.
Additional transportation may be provided for other activities, appointments and in accordance with an individual’s plan of service.
Performs routine safety checks on agency vehicles.
Works various schedules, including weekends and evenings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Drives agency van/vehicles to pick up and bring members to and from the clubhouse, places of employment, appointments and Clubhouse events.
Helps with program shopping, vehicle maintenance, and other errands.
Assists members entering and leaving the vehicle.
Follows all safety regulations.
Implements clubhouse philosophy and principles, by treating members with dignity and respect, as colleagues.
Assists full time clubhouse staff and members, within the clubhouse, as needed.
Assists in the teaching of social and vocational skills.
Assists in providing coverage when assigned during evening, weekend and holiday activities.
Completes all required Clubhouse Model orientation and any required NCCMH trainings.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance, stretch/reach, hear, see, hand/finger dexterity and drive a vehicle.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Have own phone or reliable access to messages.
Must be current in Adult CPR and First Aid and CPI – Crisis Intervention.
Have reliable transportation with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to work within guidelines of the code of conduct, regulatory compliance plan and personnel policies.
Supports a philosophy of service delivery that is recovery-based, person centered and culturally competent.
Must pass all necessary training required by the State, any governmental oversight agency, or the employer and all tests must be successfully completed within the required time frames.
Ability to effectively communicate and to work as a member of a team.
