Volunteer drivers assist residents of Ogemaw, Oscoda and Iosco Counties to be transported to and from various hospitals and other helping facilities throughout the State of Michigan in times of need.
Transporters are called and scheduled by our staff when the need arises (24/7) and Volunteer Drivers can accept/decline the transport depending on their own schedules.
It's encouraged that Volunteer Drivers offer a schedule of days/times they are willing to transport.
Areas of transport can be local, but also throughout Michigan.
Volunteers are reimbursed for their mileage at the current Federal rate.
Must have a valid Michigan Driver's license.

AVCMHA provides State funded public mental health services to Iosco, Ogemaw, and Oscoda counties in northern Michigan.
Services are provided to people with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability (I/DD), a Serious Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), and/or those who may be Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED).
