Rates & Regulatory Specialist Great Lakes Energy is looking for a rates and regulatory specialist to assist with regulatory compliance and complex economic and financial analysis to support implementation of electric & telecommunication service rates.

A Day in The Life of a Rates & Regulatory Specialist Your day is a mix of regulatory research, grant administration, and generating data in support of rate changes, billing rules and fees.
You support regulatory compliance for both the electric and telecommunications business activities, along with assisting in the development of special contract rates for large commercial/industrial and affiliate/subsidiary commercial services.
You work closely with leadership to research and develop grant applications reflecting key opportunities.
In a nutshell, it's important work! Who You Are Research and making sense of data are what make you excited to go to work in the morning.
You don't mind when the answer doesn't come easily - in fact, you prefer to dig up the "why" on your own so you can understand it better.
You don't need a lot of extra direction from your superiors once you know what you're looking for.
You jump in with both feet and make the project your own.
Grant research, application and administration is in your wheelhouse and something you are comfortable with from previous experience.
Experience with the Michigan Public Service Commission and Federal Communications Commission is a plus.
You like working by yourself, but you work well with others too, and maintain great working relationships.
You've got some impressive credentials too.
A bachelor's degree in accounting or economics and at least a year of related experience (related experience could be in electric/telecommunications regulations, grant administration, cost accounting, or a mix).
