federal, state, local or tribal government Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, provide direct supervision of Finance Cashiers and ensure the efficient operation of frontline windows and main bank areas.
Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, Minimum Internal Controls (MICs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Inter-Departmental Policies (IDPs), SECR safety and security procedures, Title 31 Currency Transaction reporting laws, gaming winnings, and taxes withheld reporting laws, departmental and SECR policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure efficiency in cage and vault operations by monitoring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Have a complete understanding of the SECR Associate Handbook and the Finance department`s operating guidelines.
Perform Finance Manager duties when necessary.
Oversee cashier activities in designated areas during the assigned shift; perform all cashier duties as needed to ensure quality guest service.
Verify all payouts exceeding $5,000 dollars.
Oversee and assist in all Sports Betting functions associated with the cashier position.
Perform Credit Marker and Front Money services for guests according to policy.
Issue checks for Slots, Table Games, and Promotional Jackpot Payouts.
Receive, issue, and maintain accountability of Marketing Coupons.
Work with the management team to identify and correct any out-of-compliance behaviors.
Provide support to staff by verifying and assisting cashiers with job functions, operating frontline and bank windows as necessary.
Ensure protection of casino assets; maximize integrity by upholding cash handling policies and procedures identifying and reporting procedural errors/irregularities to Finance Management, and /or the appropriate departments.
Count and report all cashier tips in accordance with policy.
Cooperate with and conduct investigations and audits as needed.
Develop and mentor cashier staff.
Void any wrongful transaction of cashiers and errors in-fills and credits in table games.
Develop and maintain fair and adequate scheduling and adjust schedules as needed.
Sell and redeem cash gift cards.
Participate in annual performance reviews; provide coaching, guidance, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Provide continual guidance to associates that facilitate teamwork.
Ensure positive guest relations by maintaining visibility on the casino floor, reviewing and resolving guests` concerns and disputes, and promoting SECR amenities, casino promotions, and gaming opportunities.
Verify assets being deposited are correct and properly documented.
Investigate variances and out-of-balance issues.
Assist the Finance Scheduler/Trainer with training and follow-up with new hires and current employees.
Count incoming cash; balance cash and cash equivalents in main bank and vault at end of shift.
Assist Count Team when necessary to ensure that kiosks are impressed and functional.
Fill, drop and audit TCD machines.
Maintain and document all unclaimed jackpot paperwork and submit it to Accounting on a monthly basis.
Perform the drop, fill, and maintenance on TCD and RGB 300 machines as needed.
Prepare reports detailing the accounting, distribution, and reconciliation of cash and cash equivalents.
Comply with and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times.
Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts: Contact with upper management and associates within the department, other departments within the casino, vendors, and the general public.
The purpose for this contact includes communication and maintaining internal and external guest service levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of counting devices and safety equipment.
Knowledge of drop, count, cage, and cashiering operations.
Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record-keeping practices and procedures.
Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Skill in supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff.
Ability to handle large amounts of money while using basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to be detail-oriented.
Ability to complete and pass Title 31 training and assessment.
Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a professional manner.
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
Ability to maintain a team player attitude with a friendly disposition.
Ability to handle busy and stressful situations.
Ability to work in a physically demanding area as well as familiarity with a high volume and fast-paced environment.
Ability to work any shift and adjust days off to include being accessible 24/7.
Physical Demands: Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers associated with computer equipment and the handling and counting of money.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Frequent bending and squatting.
Occasionally lift/push up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment: Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public.
Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino, and constant machine and crowd noise.
Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED.
Must be 18 years of age.
Three years cage or finance experience in a gaming enterprise or banking institution.
Must be able to work various shifts.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications: Associate`s degree.
One year in a supervisory capacity.
Experience handling large amounts of cash.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements: Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
